Should I visit Girona or Tarragona : That is a question to which there is no easy answer! Both are well worth a visit. Tarragona has excellent Roman ruins whilst Girona has a lovely old town to wander around and city walls from which there are excellent views. You can reach both by train, Girona is quicker if you get the fast AVE train.
